About The Event
The Power of Communities | 2:00 – 8:00 pm
We are part of various communities in our local region and across all the world who come together, support, teach and heal each other at various levels. This way we are always more than the number of people who participate. We dedicate this day to hear fantastic speakers about the power of communities. The event is hosted at a prestigious venue: in a Grade II listed 18th-century building along the River Thames.
About TEDx
What is TEDx?
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.

About TED TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives.

TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan and Daniel Kahneman.

TEDxRotherhithe is the first TEDx event in the area, and we hope to organise it each year to bring together thoughtful speakers and an inspired audience.
